I built this Living Wall in the hallway of my home. Measuring 2.5 x 1.0 metres, the wall was home to around 70 tropical plants and featured a passive irrigation system and built-in humidifier.
I recreated a jungle stream featuring tropical fish and shrimps in the aquatic section, and an array of tropical aquatic and terrestrial plants (including carnivorous Nepenthes) in the emersed section.
Using a small pump, a length of plastic guttering and some 'wicking fabric', I built this small drip-wall Paludarium where the constant water flow on the wall allows moss and small ferns to flourish.
I have built hundreds of Terrariums, ranging in size from a few centimetres tall to very large displays. I especially like working with Jewel Orchids and other humidity-loving tropical plants.
I have made a few tropical vivariums catering to the husbandry needs of South American Dart Frogs. These typically feature lush tropical plant growth, interesting hardscaping and leaf litter.
Like many others I saw the plant-growing potential of the various IKEA glass display cabinets, but rather than creating a simple greenhouse, I decided to make a giant terrarium to house tropical plants.
